Hey guys its Alex, I’m an insurance broker and today I’ll be telling you about the difference between Medicaid and Medicare.

Medicaid is a state run low cost health insurance program for people with very limited incomes. This is a program that is typically administered by the state and you can apply for it by visiting your local health and human services office, or in the state of Texas by calling 211.

On the other hand, Medicare is a federally run health insurance program for people who have become disabled and are receiving social security disability benefits for 24 months or more most often. Or for people that have turned 65 years or older. If you have either Medicaid or Medicare, you may be entitled to additional benefits.

If you have any questions on those you can call us at our office at (210) 469-3900 FutureWise Insurance.

Thank you so much for watching.
